Zagreus is met with numerous obstacles throughout the realms of Tartarus and Asphodel. He's aided and encouraged in his journey primarily by his caretaker Nyx and his mentor Achilles, with others outside the House of Hades, such as Sisyphus, Charon, and the Olympian Gods, sometimes offering their aid as well. By letting Melinoë and Zagreus go blade-to-blade, Hades 2 could show why both are the Underworld's most impressive warriors.Darren Korb Zagreus is the Prince of the Underworld and the son of the god Hades. Plus, with Zagreus being such a well-liked character, him making an appearance would probably be warmly received, especially if he makes a good showing in the sequel. While Hades 2 may take a different story direction, the core gameplay should put Melinoë and Zagreus on relatively even ground. Zagreus probably isn't going to be one of Melinoë's foes during her journey, but he could have a lot to offer as a boss fight. That would be a rewarding challenge that could also propose a unique situation of the players essentially fighting against themselves. If the player has save data from the first game, then perhaps they could fight against a Zagreus who is equipped with a build from one of their completed runs. For that reason, a way for the game to interact with data from the first game could be a fun addition.
