1987 el camino 305 specs7/31/2023 ![]() Features added by Wade include chrome plated bed side rails, BF Goodrich Comp T/A tires and all of the brakes, belts and hoses are new too. It was also ordered with some fairly unique options like the turn signal indicator lamps mounted on the top of the front fenders (similar to Cadillac items), an ornate hood ornament, and front fender mud guards, all installed at the factory. The car was ordered with a list of factory options that included power windows, power brakes, power steering, air-conditioning, AM/FM/cassette stereo system, cruise control, factory rubber bed mat and a tilt wheel. It also retains its original, numbers-matching factory drivetrain consisting of a 305 cubic inch V8 with 4-barrel carb, THM 700R4 transmission and 3.08 rear end. Originally sold in Pasadena, California at Jack Wall Chevrolet, this El Camino still wears its original license plate frame and Wade is in possession of all the factory documentation including the original Dealer Shipping Order. Prior to Wade’s ownership, the vehicle was part of a private collection that sat in storage for over 16 years. Wade’s El Camino is a one-of-a-kind classic when you consider that despite being 28 years old, the odometer registers just 26,000 original miles, all driven in California, as the car has spent its entire life in the mild southern California climate. We’d also venture to guess that he’s not likely to find another one as clean as this if he ever changes his mind and wants to build another El Camino at a later date. We’d have to guess that it must be with some sadness that Wade will part company with his prized (and prize-winning) El Camino. ![]() (OPGI), Customer Wade Pearson is the owner of this super nice 1987 El Camino, that relationship may soon change, as the car is currently up for sale. ![]() Paint: Autumn Gold/Lite Chestnut w/ PinstripesĪlthough Original Parts Group Inc.
